This has been listed on another forum for a couple weeks. I figured it would go pretty fast. Any reason anyone here can see why it hasn't sold? Maybe just a case of the wrong groupl of people to offer it to? If I had another $1034, I would have already bought it.

The ad appears to be from Sept. of last year, do you really think this firearm is still for sale? Your dilemma may already be solved. :D . Greg

Oh, then you still might have a small dilemma, because that's a mighty nice looking firearm! :D Also doesn't seem like too bad of a deal, all things considered. It sure is a pretty shooter, Greg

I figured it would go pretty fast. Any reason anyone here can see why it hasn't sold? He modified a collector's edition which made it less valuable to collectors. Shooters wouldn't buy that to use as a shooter when they can get an XSE for less NIB. He pretty much alienated both markets that would consider buying it.

I thought it was a pretty fair price, too. Maybe it hasn't sold just because it's a Series 80. If only I were good looking AND rich. :)

I would consider that a safe queen. Most people are not into safe queens. Shooting that gun will decrease the value more than a stock one.
Of course I have two going on three safe queens. That is a nice looking gun with the Colt logo's and not some war or sheriff's dept. etc. Seems like a good price if you want a safe queen.

If it matters, I think you will find the engraving is acid-etched, and the gold is electro-plated. It is not hand engraved.

Agreed... It's too pricey for a "shooter" and the collector value was reduced after the first mod, IMHO.
