I picked up one of the Bud's Gun Shop XO-S 1911's for $599. It came pretty bare bones, so I thought I would do a little to make it more to my liking.
I have added a front white outline Novak night sight, Heirloom Precision rear sight, Ed Brown "chainlink" flat MSH, and thin linen grips with Brownell's thin bushings/allen screws.
What do you think?

I like the MSH was it drop in?

I'm not sure if I lucked out, but it was a total drop in for me.

Looks really good :appld: - is that the orginal finish or did you change the finish?

The finish is the way I got it NIB.

I really like the finish! It look different than what is on my XO SS. I like how yours looks - I really like the mods! :appld:

I like the size and profile of the thumb safety, but it appears cast as well as the grip safety.
What are good parts that are the same size/profile I can replace them with?

I think it looks great! Just got my GSR Revolution XO-S and will probably do something similiar to it. So far, all I have done was had a Videcki trigger fitted (I hated the solid alum. one).

In fact, I might have my slide Duracoated Black, and add Rosewood grips -- I'm not in love with the all stainless look.

Nice job on yours!
