Looking to install a set of sights on a build I'm doing, it's an Essex slide with Novak cuts.
Don't need tritium. Don't really need adjustable. Thinking about Novaks or other. What height front sight should I get?
Thanks in advance.

Sights are a real personal thing.
I prefer high and narrow front sights (no more than .125" but preferably .100") with a flat face. Height depends on what rear sight you decide on.
I prefer plain black rear sights with a traditional notch and I like the notch wide - .146" to .154".
This kind of set up is pretty ideal for practical pistol shooting and similar to what most competitors are running.
A set like that is available from Novak and runs under $100 easy.

Seems that Midway and Brownell's are clear as the Ohio River on what front and rear sights should go together. Bought a Heinie sight set that had some kind of oddball cut to it that won't work.
