So I have a new Kimber (Tactical Pro II) and I was thinking of putting some Carbon Creations carbon fiber grips on it.
Here's a link: www.carboncreations.com
Since Kimber's ambi safety doesn't have that flat leg that goes under the grip, do I need to buy grips that are cut for an ambi safety? Or should I just get regular ones?
I noticed that the stock grips on the gun appear to have the ambi safety undercut, but it doesn't seem to be serving any purpose.
Thanks - Jim

I use VZ DiamondBack's on all my guns, the Kimber's do not need the ambi safety cut out on the right hand grip. It makes ordering and being able to switch out grips between different makers a lot easier.

Both of my CDP's have ambi safeties and the right hand grips are not cut out, scalloped or otherwise modified in any noticeable way.

Your Kimbers do not need the ambi cutout on the grips. Normal stock grips will be fine.

I bought the ambi-cut that VZ offers for my Warrior.
They fit REAL tight against the right side.
I ended up taking a small grinder to the top of them, and finshed it off with a belt sander.
SIDE NOTE: The sound that you get from grinding paper Micarta is very close to the sound that a live cat will produce if you grind him. :)
