"C" clip on Defender/New agent

Is there a source for the little c-clip on the Defender, New Agent recoil spring guide. As I look ahead to replacing my recoil springs, it would be nice to have fresh relpacement clips that hold the two pieces of the guide rod toghether. I called Colt, but they say the guide rods come to them already assembled from their subcontractor. Individual replacement parts are not available from Colt.

Any Ideas?

Did you check Brownells and Midway?
I would believe most any C clip in that size/shape would work and could be had at a hardware or machine shop.

I think I got an assortment pack from Brownells. Had several different sizes.
