Never a malfunction until I tried some 185 or 160 gr. Lead SWC bullets, then they jam into the top of the chamber with the slide catching the brass about an 1/8" behind the lead bullet.
If I use Tripp, CM, or Bill Wilson, no problem. The Springfield magazines are standard 7 round with flat split lip follower wearing the proper dimple.
Anybody else ever notice this? The 200 gr. longer swc bullets feed fine. The problem is I've got 4000 of these bullets. I just thought this might be worth mentioning.
