Hi folks,
I'm picking up a Colt Commander XSE for $815.00 out the door. Good price or not?
thanks.

Bud's Gunshop has them at $821. I believe your price is a good one.

Halito, scootch. I picked up my XSE Combat Commander for a smidge over 700USD otd, but it was used, only one mag but appeared unfired. I love the thing. For what I have seen them going for I would say the 815 otd is a decent price. Some people don't like the "ducktail" grip-safety, but I have found it to be perfect for my hands. I wouldn't mind putting it on some of my others. I am not very fond of the ambi-safety, but that is something I could change I suppose. Love the 1911, South Carolina (home-ported in Charleston once) and the forum.

Thanks guys, I figured it was a good price. The gun shops in my area want over a grand for one. the cheepest I found was 981.87 I get most of my guns from my friend in Ga. I was station there for a while and he always gives me a good price.
Thanks Again

I recently paid $802 for a new XSE Commander at a gun show (from a dealer). Later paid a bit over $900 for a new XSE LW Commander in a gun store.

Halito, all. The XSE is not easy to find in my area...in fact, Colts in general are hard to come by. Everybody is pushing the Kimber line big time. Don't get me wrong, I love the Kimber pieces. I just would like to see a few more Colts in the line-up. Let us know how you like it. If you are like me, you will want more. Love the 1911, Minnesota (is it still cold there you reckon?) and the forum.
