Crimson Trace grips for $196.00 with shipping, with the 3 year warranty, from eBay ? !!! That's a considerable savings over MSRP and Midway,Brownells, Cheaper than Dirt, Cabela's and other online sales. Pro Custom even offers refunds less 15% for restocking. Advertised as new.

Hummmm? Should I take a chance ?

I've come not to trust Ebay with anything gun. Of course most of the time what I see on Ebay, someone always outbids me, and if I am gonna pay near full price its gonna be from a reputable dealer for a new item.

I totally agree with not paying near retail. This price is a Buy It Now and the eBay store where this one is featured has a 99.9% positive feedback score. Well, I may do some internet research and see how close I can get to this price. It is tempting.

I've not checked Crimson trace lately, if its a good deal, I might would check it out, but if its anywhere near retail, I'd walk away.

Under $200 is quite common for the 400 series on eBay. They're good, it's just another example of retail gouging.

I just bought a set of 404s (officer size) on eBay for 189.99. Shipping was under 6 bux. Can't see how I can beat that.

I've been buying from eBay since 1999, and have had fewer issues than with other outlets.

I picked up a set of LaserGrips for my glock a few weeks ago for about $165. Can't beat that deal!

I bought a set of the 401-P9 (flaming) grips from clajgray.

Seller generally uses the best offer option as well.

I sent an offer that was about $15 less than they were asking, offer was accepted within the hour and the grips were in my hand 2 days later.

So, YMMV but I had very good luck with that seller.

Looks like their current buy it now price is $189.95 for full size 401's. $9.95 shipping so a few dollars more than the one you were looking at...

But I'd send em a best offer and see if you can't get them for less.

Hello,

Perhaps I can shed some light on the price difference. The new Pro-Custom series Lasergrips, specifically the P4, P5, and P9 1911 Lasergrips were or are an RSR exclusive. RSR is one of the largest distributors for gun stores and sporting stores in the USA. The first runs of each Pro-Custom model were sold to them at a discount to introduce these new variants at a special price. Subsequent orders since have been at normal pricing.

A lot of dealers who recognized the value of this special pricing picked up a lot of quantity at the special price and are still selling the stock they purchased. Ebay dealers included.

As far as what dealers are trustworthy on Ebay I cannot comment on, I leave that to you to check their feedback and understand their auction terms.

Also the P5 (aka Chainmail) was a limited 100 piece run and is no longer available.

I hope that helps. :)

My flamin' 1911 officer's grips are on the way for under $200 from eBay. The flames and carbon fiber weren't my first choices as far as color goes, but I couldn't pass on the price. I figured subtle flames were the lesser of 2 evils. :D I found a set of olive drab grips, but they were about $50 more....thats quite a bit of .45 ammo.

I bought a set of 401's on Ebay, great price for a brand-new product still in the box. I had absolutely NO issues with the seller or the product. I can't recall the price I paid though, but it was fair.

The flaming ones actually look reasonably good on the gun... Well IMO
