is this the "enhanced" mk iv series 80?

i am looking for a govt model with rear slide serrations that are slanted but without adjustable sights. I dont want to get the xse model because it has the front serrations.

is buying used the only way to acquire one of these?

Yes. The Enhanced was replaced by the XSE(nhanced).

Other companies offer the slanted serrations, but if you want the Colt pony on the side you have to go used.

The only current production 5" model with slanted cocking serrations is the Gold Cup....but it also has adjustable sights.
+1 to Garrett's comments... The Enhanced would be the way to go.

BTW, when i click on the link provided i get a screen that says "address not valid".

the link is messed up in his post. You have to copy and paste the whole thing into your browser's address bar to bring the thread up.

Unfortunately used is the only way to go if you have to have that combination.

It's a great shooter. Very accurate and tight. Hard chromed and annodized by Bob Cogan at Accurate. I see an Enhanced model on GB once in a while, but not often. This one has night sights added.

the one that i have seen the guy had a reserve of $1000 saying it is nib.

i can get the new xse model and live with the front serrations for a couple hundred dollars cheaper

Ted,

You pistol looks nice!

Is the frame a shade of grey, or is it the photo effect on another shade?

And how long did Accurate have it to do all that?

Thanks. The frame is black annodized. Accurate had the pistol about a month, including ship time. I've had other pistols done by them and found their finish to be the most durable. They are very reasonable. Here's another one Cogan did in hard chrome.
