Anyone know if the XS Big Dot sights fit the new XSE Commander without modifying the front dovetail? The XS website indicates a .330 X 65 degree dovetail is needed and I have no clue what the Colt dovetail is. Colt is known for using odd non-standard sight cuts.

I put a standard dot XS front sight on my XSE LW Commander and the gunsmith's fee was the standard $15.00 so assume no alteration of the dovetail was needed. Replaced the rear sight with a Novak Ghost tritium myself with just a pair of padded pliers - great combination for aging eyes IMO.

Thanks. I'm not sure which sights I want on it, but as many XSEs as Colt is selling, there should be some aftermarket sights that fit them. I also have "mature" eyes. Have to use the middle lens on my trifocals.

Champion, Trijicon and reportedly XS make front sights for the XSE's.
It is NOT a .330 dovetail.
There are are some photos of XS's on an XSE commander somewhere here.
