Greetings gang thought I would post a picture of my pride and joy . It's 1 of the first 300 issued to the marine corp in 1912 . What do you all think ? It's # 3624 COWBOYKEITH

Thank you all for your kind words about the old USMC WAR HORSE ,I am very proud to be able to share it with you .I will do my best to try and only post other pistols of this rarity ,but I dont think that will happen ,this is truly a genuine piece of history .I know the history of this pistol from 1942 till the present time ,and have the holster it was carried in during WW11. Thanks again for your comments .

I hope you read the fine print on the membership application to the forum. There's the clause about needing to share your toys with the other members .... :D :D :D
While you are thinking about it, document as much of the weapon's history as you know. If you have any documents that support that history - hang on to them. If you get a chance to dig for more documentation - do so. To me the history of a pistol like this is a very important thing.

Pictures of the markings would be nice.
There are a limited number of these "in the wild" and getting a good look at how they are marked is tough.
