A few reasons why Id like to change it. First from factory it shoots high and to the left. So I need the sights or sight adjusted anyways. Second I dont like the front sight in standard model its to short and hard to see. Or I could get away with just replacing the front sight but I would like it to be with the painted dot for easier visibility.

The RIA GI uses a standard M1911 rear sight cut, so this rear sight should fit. But the GI has a tenon-mounted front sight, so you will need to have a gunsmith or a machinist cut a dovetail for the front sight if you want to use this set.

Did you already install these? If you haven't purchased yet, you may want to check to be sure that the front sight is a narrow tenon and not a wide tenon. I recall that RIA uses the narrow.
