I just uncovered the following Colts from my fathers home
1 1934 National Match Fixed Site
1 1934 Ace
Both guns are 98% + with the ace being perfect in every way.
Both have original boxes, hang tags and targets.
How do I price these guns so that I can compensate my 90 year old father for them. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi
The first step is to take some very good pictures of what you have and post them. There are people here who can help both with the pricing and with recommendations for sales venues.

Wow, your father has a good eye for collector Colts.
A 98% 1934 National Match with box, hang tag etc is very valuable indeed.
A 1934 Ace 98% in box is no slouch either; very valuable.
Your father will be well compensated.
Post pictures here and I will tell you what I think they are worth.
Sell them on gunbroker and watch the collectors bid them to the moon.

Hi
Pardon us for jumping on the "sales" side of this. You don't mention selling the pistols. Obviously if you are simply interested in value, there are people here who can help with that.

I'd say the Ace with the box is around 4 to 5,000. and the National Match 8,000. in the box..

You have real gems, tell your Dad they're worthless and then give him the 4 or 5000 bux they're probably worth. :D Gee, your Dad really bought desirable pistols and then kept everything that collectors like including maintenance of the pistols to maximize their value. Your Dad must be pretty sharp!

Both are quite desireable and worth a good bit. Your father has wonderful taste.

Sell them on gunbroker and watch the collectors bid them to the moon.
Prior to seeing any pictures....I would be very wary of making this kind of statement.

I'd say the Ace with the box is around 4 to 5,000. and the National Match 8,000. in the box..
Another dangerous statement..... What if in the pictures (pending I hope)they are both Parkerized ?????

Good photos of both guns would help a lot.

Hi
I've been here for a little while. I've seen a number of pistols come up in pictures. Some I have thought looked pretty good and others I figured didn't look so good. I wish I could even claim to be batting .300 in terms of being right or wrong. There are some *very* good people here who really do know how to look at a pistol.
