Welcome to the forum, the Gunsite was my first Colt semi auto.
1000 dollars is a good price if it's really like new.

Welcome to the forum, cwm. I think $1,000 would be a good price even if it weren't like new. There doesn't seem to be many out there, can't get 'em any more, and they're supposed to be pretty fine pistols. Nice! Be sure to post pictures when you get it. :)

That's a good price for a Gunsite. Either jump on it or let me know where it is. :D:D:D;)
well I picked it up. $997+tax. It appears it has'nt been fired sense it left the factory! Got everything down to the trigger guard tag and the plastic bag it was packaged in.I'm not a collector,is there any reason I should not shoot it? Was it a "real limited" edition? What do you think of the mim chip McCormick hammer and sear?

It wasn't technically a limited edition as such, it was limited because it didn't sell very well and Colt didn't make too many of them. I guess the price was too high for some folks.

Welcome to the Forum. That's a very price and a nice find. I was looking for one myself and was told by Colt they don't make it anymore.
