Found this forum through a LEO colleague and find the site very informative. I've owned a Colt Detective Special in the past and the incoming Colt New Agent will be my first .45 cal. in the Colt line. Previously had a Kimber Ultra Carry II for off duty/backup and carry a Glock 17 on the job. The New Agent will replace the Kimber. Looking forward to getting it and participating here with you all. All the best, Mark

Welcome to the forum Mark. The New Agent is a great little pistol. I wrote a review of one for our ezine and she ran like a sewing machine.
Don't forget to post pictures when you get your new pistol.

Hi
It's a nice little pistol. You aren't going to win a bullseye match with it, but it's plenty good enough for "minute of bad guy". They look a bit like this:

Well worth having along with you.

I think they shoot a bit better than "minute of bad guy", but that's just me. :D
I love my little Colt.

Mark, welcome to the forum. I think you'll really like your New Agent. I'd be interested in hearing how it compares with your Kimber.

Hi
Mine is quite willing to do three inch groups at 15 yards. With a full sized pistol I can do quite a bit better than that.
I'm still getting used to the sights. They are a bit "different". There may be something going on with them that I'll pick up on as I get used to them.
I doubt that the pistol will get a lot of use past 15 yards in a real life situation. Three inches is good enough for head shots ....
