I've located a blued Colt Combat Commander and made my purchase. I will probably have it on Monday and have some pictures shortly after!! I'm really looking forward to getting my first 1911 and learning as much as I can from all our experts.

Thank you for all the support and encouragement. I am by no means new to firearms but I'm all 'giddy' in anticipation for my first 1911. I will be sure to get pictures asap so the Gunny doesn't come after me.
