For the first time in its history, Greece won the European Football Championship, by beating the host country Portugal 1-0.

Congrats to all the players and the trainer.

I'm not a big soccer (football) fan, but that sounds like great news for Greece!! :D . When U.S. football starts, now that's a different story. GO REDSKINS - GO VA. TECH!!!!!!!!!! :cool:

When Portugal tried to get the ball did any one yell molon lave? :D

With the 100-1 odds against Greece, I must say they showed the spirit of the Spartans at "Hell's Gate".

Well, that motto was on several banners the spectators had in the stadium. I do not know if they sing it, or just showed it, but Jim, it was there!
