Below is my 'new-to-me-' Colt OACP with the Stag Horn grips I received today. A Gentleman in Buffal WY. makes them from actual Stag Horns. I found him via Gunbrokers.com and here's a link to some of his grips Sheriffangus (http://gunbroker.com/Auction/SellerAuctions.asp?User=148090)

The pistol looks great, especially with those grips.

Did you change the trigger on the pistol or was that done by the previous owner?

I appreciate all the kind and flattering comments :)
I do think it's the prettiest one I have and hopefully proves as good a shooter as it looks.

All I've changed is the grips. I'm supposedly the 3rd owner and it was sold to me as 'all original' so I believe it is original. I found this auction for a Colt OACP (http://gunbroker.com/Auction/ViewItem.asp?Item=92800572) on Gunbroker and it has the same trigger

Took 'Her' to the range today and put about 200 rounds of CCI Blazer Brass, Remington UMC and Federal American Eagle - all 230gr FMJ.

Not as accurate as I am with a FS 1911. That target was shot at 10yds. I would say I'm pretty happy with her.

Had 2 Fail-to-loads. Loaded the cartridge about 1/2 way and jammed. Both from the same magazine and both last rd. Using all Colt 6 rd mags, so planning on cleaning them and maybe replacing that mags spring.

Maybe mine is not original. I bought it used also so I don't know. Mine has what appears to be a stainless steel trigger.

Nice looking target by the way. Glad you like your pistol.

Mine is the 'Enhanced' edition so maybe the trigger was part of that change along with the hammer, beavertail grip, cut under the trigger guard and beveled mag well. I just noticed my slide serrations are angled vs your straight.

I like the ivory grips. I think SS needs ivory or horn grips :) Beautiful gun.

I ordered SS hex grip screws but Brownells sent blued. One phone call and the SS screws are coming free gratis. CS apologized and 'asked me' to keep the blue one :) Gotta love Brownells.

Your's being the Enhanced Version must be the difference. It's a beautiful gun. What color is your recoil spring plug? Its looks dark in the picture.

I love ivory and stag on any pistol. Most of the stag grips I've found though are very thick. I did find a nice set of stag grips that are thinner for my New Agent.

It is hard to beat Brownells. Colt Customer Service is great too. I had to send a pistol back for some minor adjustments and they returned it in a week repaired with 2 new mags for the inconvenience. All free of charge.

That's him! I called him and told him what I was looking for and that they needed to be able to stand up to weekly shooting. The ones I have are the ones he chose and then shipped them to me - my check is still in the mail.

A really great gentleman to do business with.

Thanks for including the web link Albert.

Landman - I have 3 plugs. 1 SS and 2 Blued. That happened to be a blue one I had in that day. I installed a Wolff #22 to shoot test and decided if I was going to 'shoot-a-plug' it would be a blue one :)

Good shootin', MCPO! Glad you're enjoying the new Colt ;).

The "failure to feed" issue sounds like a mag-problem to me: last round; happened twice with the same mag. I think replacing the spring is a great place to start. Please keep us posted...i always like to hear how issues are resolved :).
