Found this and im curious on the pricing Has both the GCNM slide and barrel and comes with a matching Officers slide and barrel. Comes with box and papers,Stainless steel
The bad part: The slide on the GCNM has wear and some scatches on it as compared to the Officers slide is in excellent shape. Looks like he did all of is shooting with that slide and carring. The barrels are dirty so I cant tell if there pitted or not.
Im temped to go back and clean the barrels and see how they look inside
Asking price 1250

yes it looks just like that, but your slide looks alot better. A tad older then yours at ser OM168. It dont come with the orignal grips either, they put Crimson trace grips on the poor gun, there lost.

They only made one run of 350 sets. That said, I would only value what you are looking at based upon your desire to have that pistol and slide. The real value is diminished by the condition and lack of box If it was right it would be a good buy but I would pass at 1200 for one in that condition. I would try and wait and pay a bit more and get the right one. Just my 2cents Pics would help.
Good luck.

It does come with the correct box as yours does, but you are right on the condition on the gun.

To me its a three striker. 1 no box 2 not original parts 3 damage yourrrrrr outta hereeeeeee I stay away from three strikers. Now if you want a project and you can buy it for what its worth thats a different story. Are both slides damaged? It is a very difficult Colt to find. You might not see another :butthead:

I would have to look at it, but it might be a $1K thing.

It depends on how bad you want it and how bad it's current condition is going to continue to bother you if you buy it.
If it were me, I'd probably pass on it but not until giving a lower offer on it.
If I was to buy it I'd do so knowing that I'd make a restoration project out of it which would probably raise the overall cost to more than what a nice one would cost.

You think its worth that dakota? I was thinking 800 or so if both slides are bad.

If the sides of the slides aren't too bad they can be redone to some degree. If the scratches aren't as deep as the lettering, otherwise the lettering would go bye bye along with the other marks.
Stainless can be touched up with a fine grade of sandpaper, I think you would wet sand it. It has to be kept perfectly flat or the edges and corners will suffer. A professional might give you a better idea of what it would take.

If I can get it cheap enough im thinking of having it sent out to Springfield or ?? to have there magic done to it. With 350 sets made I dont want to make a mistake and they can give me there opinion on it.
Just the 5" slide is bad, the officers slide is in great shape with no damage done to it at all.

Sounds like a great plan, you might also try Colt. Find some stocks and you will be good to go with a great combo.

Do you have a extra set laying around or take yours off of your gun.....razzing ya.
That might be a harder find to match up a set of grips like the originals
