M5 Government Conversion

OK, I have been to the CD web site and don't see my preferred caliber listed for the government model (9mm for IDPA). I know Bul makes them but am sure the CD did not import them due to demand reasons.

So how hard is it convert a 45 government to 9mm? I read that Bul has made only one frame size so it should be possible. Will CD be importing parts? Slides, barrels, Magazines etc. ?

i found this on the marstar.ca website (they import bul also)
according to them; you can convert, but you will need a gunsmith

Going from a .45 pistol to a 9mm one requires you to get a whole new top end (slide) complete with all its internals. It will also require you to install a 9mm/Super .38 ejector on the frame. If changing the ejector back and forth is too much for you, Wilson sells a 45/38 ejector that can be used with both calibers. Of course installing a new slide on a frame, without doing any alteration to the frame, may require a gunsmith.
