Thanks guys and or gals!

John --- I know :lm: :nono:

But - it seems you just have to have Colt to be a REAL 1911 man!!! :lm: Trust me when I tell you I would never own a commemrative for display ONLY if if it was not SWEET deal. I traded a HK USP and a S&W 4506 for it. I had not shot those two in so long that the oil had on the pistols had turned to goo! So now I can look at it on my desk!!! :D :D

OD I have been thinking about it!!!! :scared:

Now I already have the SA - RIA - SIG - FUSION strains of the 1911 virus. If I shoot it then - will I get the Colt bug!!!! :scared:

Thank god this is not a terminal VIRUS!!!!! :D :D

Beautiful Pistol! Congrats on finding it.

I love the looks of the 1911s when they have the arched MSH and lanyard loop. It's almost too pretty to shoot - but then again you just have to - at least once :)

I wouldn't shoot it if it was me. Heck no, I would use it as an excuse to buy a SHOOTER. Well at least it has worked for me , that is why I have SEVEN NOW!!! LOL!

And it's a pimp gun too. I think you need to relocate to TX, that barbecue-gun will attract some attention, I am sure.

:lm: :scared: :lm:
John --- I would have to put some pearly grips on it with gold Colt medallions to be an AUTHENTIC BLING BLING pimp city "special" :lm:

You could put some ivories on it and be the "Pimp with Taste." :D

I'd be torn between wanting to shoot it and just leaving it as a wall hanger.

Who am I kidding? Shoot it!

Depends what the future investment potential of the gun is. That would tell me whether or not to shoot it.

NEVER TEMPT A 1911 JUNKIE WITH SHINNY BLING 1911

I SHOT IT! 50 ROUNDS - it ran 100% what really surprised me is that is looks EXACTLY the same as before I shot it - ummm well almost. just some scuff on the barrel hood. Big deal! IT Sure was fun! As for the resale value. Well my kids can deal with that afer I go to the BIG GOLD RANGE IN THE SKY! :lm:

back in the presentation case - just like it had never been anywhere!!!!

I PROMISE - I will not shoot it any more! my fingers are not crossed - honest!!!!
