I have a friend who has a DGFM sistema, and we can see the mag spring is rusting, but cannot see a way to take apart the magazine to clean it. Most of the auto mags I've seen have pinned floorplates, but this one is very smooth. I can't see how you'd take it apart...

Hi
Most welded bottom mags come apart this way:
Push down to compress the spring.
Pin the spring in place.
Lift and rotate the follower.
Remove the follower
Remover the spring.
The exact rotation varies with the design of the follower.

Put 2-3 rounds in the mag, then push a pin or a paper clip thru the holes in the mag to hold the spring. take the rounds out and take out the follower. Then point the mag down and pull the pin/clip to release the spring.
To reassemble, push the spring below the feed lips and place 2-3 rounds on top of the spring, put the pin/clip back in to hold the spring down, then take the rounds out, and put the follower in. Put a funger or thumb on the follower and pull the pin/clip.......ease the follower up and make sure the spring is riding on the underide of the follower properly.

Hi
The follower should come out easily. There's no need to force it. If you are forcing the follower, you need to rotate it in a different direction.
