View Full Version : Need front sight dovetailed

I have a nice Colt Mk IV Series 80 anniversary gun, and whoever had this thing before me, must have put higher profile sights on it and mounted the front one crooked.

So it shoots quite a bit to the left.

I figured the best way to fix it is to have someone do a dovetail in the front.

Local shop is set up to do it, but they say it will take MONTHS to get to.

Anyone have good source for a bit faster repair?

Wonder if I should call Colt?

Wonder if I should call Colt?

I think you should.

Unless someone did something weird, it doesn't have to be dovetailed either...

I would think Colt could do it in under months. I don't think it would have to be dove tailed to fix the problem unless you want that.

I had one done by EGW, 60 bux and about 3 weeks. Called ahead and just sent the slide and the new sights. Good luck!

Novaks claims a 7-day turn-around, if you send them your slide.
