I just received my 2008 Colt catalog in the mail the other day. The XSE page has a box that says "Coming in 2008, Upgraded XSE Package". Anyone know what this means?

Meanwhile, this is not available online and Colt's website is long overdue for an update. All I need is a little nudge to separate me from my money (looking to buy possibly a S70, and/or a New Agent), but they're not doing much to help me along.

I'd guess a real, fitted beavertail.

And hopefully a standard front sight dovetail... like this:

Boy that would be a nice change.

The pic would indicate a real beavertail, and thin grips. I'd like to know if it's an across-the-board upgrade, or a custom shop deal, like the O package?

Other than having the edges knocked off and the beaver what else is different than the XSE currently. I was torn with my three XSE models 2 Gvt 1 Commander because it seemed like it was a bit pricey to send in to Colt for a bevel and proper beaver. Both of those features I would like to have in a pistol. The front serrations are a bit sharp on current model. Maybe it has the full O pckg? That would be nice.

What Picture?
Cause if you all are talking about my pistol that IS an (early) XSE with an O Package.
And Ahrends Ebony stocks
And an Ed Brown Hammer
And an ED Brown Safety
And an Ed Brown sear
And Ed Brown stock screws
and an Ed Brown MSH
and....
and....
If any one had got a picture of the upgrade package I sure would love to see it.

The picture that the catalog had looked like the current XSE offering. The description led me to believe that sometime soon in 2008, they would be offering the upgraded package. What that means, I have no idea.

I think Hunter mentioned it in his SHOT show report. But he wasn't able to get specifics.
