When I graduated from Parris Island one of my best friends gave me a Tops Mohawk hunter. I love it. Only problem is it is kinda big for just carrying around.

Does anyone else have one? If so how do you like it?

I've got a TOPS Wolf Pup. It's only a 2.5 in blade, but it's nice and deep for a lot of edge, and a nice chunky micarta grip. It's pretty well sized for just carrying around and is super design for everyday use, backpacking, and random outdoor chores. Because it's 1095 steel, it demands a little care to prevent rust. I really like it for a small fixed blade.

Tops Knives are made as a severe service knife and are intended to be heavy in their construction. These are well made and are great for their intended purposes. The quality is very high and they sharpen well and maintain their edge extremely well. I have several of the knives and they hold up very well!

I met the owner years ago and spent time discussing the designs and background of these knives over several days at a trade show. They are well thought out by people that used knives for their intended purposes.

I highly recommend these knives!

Thanks all for the replies. Its good to see that people actually know of and like this company. BTW, have either of you had trouble with your knives keeping an edge?

My son carried one of his Tops knives while elk hunting several years ago. Our group had a great year and several elk were taken. I recall that my son cleaned three of the elk before the knife dulled. We were all impressed that one knife could perform all of that. I've used knives that dulled before I finished one elk so the Tops showed it's colors that day.

I can't say enough about these knives. I am a knife enthusiast as are my sons. We probable own thirty high quality knives between us and the Tops brand is highly thought of.

I will definitely purchase more Tops knives in the future.

Thats great to hear. I haven't been able to carry mine enough to dull it so I didn't know how they performed.

Just in case anyone is interested here's the website, http://www.topsknives.com/

I carried one of their knives daily for almost 10 years before my son misused it at Scout camp and broke the lock.
