i bought a colt govt model the has an aftermarket frt sight attached{factory rear}, shot the gun and it shoots way low. my intent when purchased was to replace the frt sight with an original at a later time so i lowered the aftermarket frt sight. after dissasembly the frt sight has 2 mounting {rivets??} this i assume is a millett "dual crimp" unit. now what a fine mess i have... i cant replace with original as the extra holes.. i have altered the current sight.. and still the gun looks "wrong". i need a reference to a smith to replace damaged frt sight with same "dual crimp" and install matching and correct height rear sight. can anyone reccomend someone qualified and reliable. thx

Do you know what height front you need? The lowest Dual Crimp is 0.185" high. If that or a taller one will work, PM me.

I'd have the front dovetailed. You will have a plethora of sight styles and heights to choose from.
