Greetings to all

I'm talking with a guy who has a 1911 Gold Cup National Match. I asked about the year of the gun, but he didn't know offhand. He said it was an 80 series, but he also mentioned something like an 80e. I'm wondering now if he meant series 80 enhanced, if there is such a thing.

He gave me the serial number. I can't see any reason not to share it over this site, so here goes. FN08753E. No box or papers involved.

This gun is stock, except for a S/S Sti mag well extension, Wilson Hex Head Screws, a Wilson two piece guide rod, and one Colt 8rd mag.

It appears from the pics to be in excellent condition, and he says it's in mint condition. It's from an FFL dealer

He wants $895.00

Opinions anyone?

Thanks

Jeff

regarding your DOM, all of my resources end at 1977.

you can try calling their historical dept and they may give it to you over the phone if thats all you want. If you want more then the historical check wlll cost some $$$.

my Blue Book give a value of: $950 @ 100% and $775 @ 98%

if he drops the price a few hunderd, then it would be a really good price.

Thanks for your efforts.

I don't know what the STI mag well and new rod add, if anything, to its worth. He says it's had some tuning work done to it, but it's "virtually new" I haven't seen the gun in person, but I've got 5 very sharp detailed photos of all angles.

Once again, thank you.

pass....for 895 you can get a LNIB example that hasnt been messed with.... and has 2 original mags, the second recoil spring, corresponding paper work, and original box serial numbered to the pistol. I would be extremely skeptical of the phrase..."virtually new ".....JMO, however.
