Hello All,
I have been looking around for a while and haven't been able to find much information on long slides in the range of 7". I know that I have seen them, or at least I hope that is what I saw. I also know that the now defunct AMT used to manufacture a 1911 clone that had very little interchangability with actual 1911s.
I am wondering if a 7" slide can be found anywhere. Also, I am assuming that I would need a 7" barrel and other lengthened parts for a build as well so I would need to know where to find those parts as well. Another thing, will a 7" slide assembly fit a standard frame/lower? I have not seen differences in frames/lowers on this or other sites that I can recall, but the "Oh, that takes a different (much more expensive) part" phrase seems to follow me around like a lovesick puppy.
