Since I found this site, I have been going crazy over handguns, especially 1911's. I found a commercial series(53') 1911 that had custom work done by a local smith here in Albq. I got it for 6 bills. Did I do ok? I am new to modified 1911's. Can anyone tell me about this 1911 and the mods? The pistol is supposedly dead on accurate and I will find out tomorrow when I go to the range. Just wondering how these old colts are in general and if anyone can tell me any of the identifiable mods. P.S. Excuse the bad photos, I'm just getting to know my camera.
