Don't know much about it as I haven't seen it, but it has a spur hammer and a SN of FO422.
Not much info here fellas.

Make is Colt? sounds suspect, but of course the hammer could have been changed at owner preference.

AFAIK, Colt has never made a Commander with a stock "spur" hammer, so it must be afermarket. Proofhouse.com only posts serial number data until 1978 so i usually recommend people call Colt directly; they're always more than happy to provide you with the year of manufacture (and they recently sent me free stickers too ;)).
Hopefully Paul45 will come along, who usually has serial number data beyond what Proofhouse offers.

I had a chance to look at the Commander tonight.
Alloy frame, blued slide with fixed white-dot sights, arched and serrated MSH...Proper roll-marks, Looks to have a solid (silver) aluminum trigger. Does have the spur hammer which in not correct.
Serial number is indeed FO422.

Colt has made numerous custom "runs" over the years. Off hand, i can't think of a two-tone Commander. I'm sure there were several though.
I think a call to Colt is in order: 1-800-962-COLT

BTW, i'm pretty sure the trigger is going to be aftermarket as well.

Please post back if you speak with them to let us know what it is. With a serial number like that, it sounds like it MUST be a special "run" (three digits long). ..And post pics if you've got 'em. That could definitely narrow it down, and i or someone else could help to identify it.
