Well, I sent off my Colt CCO this am, it needs some serious help, trigger is loose, malfunctioning, scratches all over the slide, new sights, thumb safety is very stiff, new grips, etc. I can't wait for it to come back, it will be a whole new gun. I think Ionbonding for the finish. Here are a few pics before.

It should be nicer looking. Curious how it shoots now.

Not so good, I posted a thread awhile back that it felt like it was slingshotting. It was a weird feeling that I was having a hard time explaining. It was malfunctioning pretty consistently with all kinds of different mags. I would really like to carry it, so off to the Smith.

Who did you send it to? Some of the repairs you mention would be covered under the Colt warranty.

It is headed off to John Harrison, I have read very good things about him, and his customer service so far has been great.

John should get her running like she's supposed to.

+1.
Harrison must be swamped with business; he's been THE guy to send your Colt to for a while now ;). I better get some guns off to him while i still can :).

Colt is where I would have sent it. Should be under their lifetime warrantee. Repair may have been FREE. Jerry

Very nice 1911.
