I looked on the CD web site and was unable to find any mention of the CD 1911 having, or not having, a firing pin block safety.

Can anybody tell me whether or not the CD has a firing pin block or not, and if so, what type is it?

Thanks,
Tim...........

Tim, Our 1911 is a Series 70 type pistol; no firing pin block.

Thanks for the quick responce. I currently have a Springfield Loaded and am looking for my second 1911. One of the reasons I went with the Springfield was the lack of a firing pin block.

Do you still use a standard sized firing pin or do you use the smaller .38/9mm firing pin like Springfield?

Thanks,
Tim............
