Hello! new to the 1911 forum and this is my first post.

I just got a colt 1911A1 NM series 80 S/N 224** yesterday. Can anyone in the forum help ID the year made? Thanks.

Welcome to the forum,

If you call Colt and give them the full serial # they will tell you the year of manufacture.

Now, we all sure would like to see a picture of your pistol...
