Colt Tactical level 2 Pistol

Several years back I ordered a Colt Tactical Level 2 1911 from Colt. I placed the order from a local Law enforcement store (GT's). When I ordered the level 2, they also offered a Level 3. I like my level 2 but I was wondering if anyone has a level 3 pistol and what they think of theirs. I would also like to know the difference between the two. I think it was the sights. My Level two came with Heinie sights and the Level 3 comes with BoMars. There is not a lot of information out there on these pistols.

ive got a level III...

very nice pistol. the finish as you know is a matte black. while the slide works like its on rails and lubed with super slick lube and the trigger is the best on any colt ive ever felt, it remains unfired...

did it come with the magwell.

the only thing i can think of that i MIGHT have done is swapped grips between the two pistols. but then again i cant remember if the tactical had the rosewood on it or not...

ive got a commander that matches the series 80 and its got the same type grips that are on the tactical so i THINK i did swap grips out or i needed to replace the nasty rubbers on the tactical and it now wears the 80s...

anyway YES the magwell came on the gun. i paid $750 NIB. a co-worker was selling it and about 6 others for the widow of another co-worker who died shortly after selling a muscle car and going on a 1911 binge. i almost got a special combat (ugly hard chrome) NIB for $800 but he found the sales slip for $1300 and wanted to get that for the widow. he said he screwed up and if it was HIS gun hed eat the difference but it was for this one guys widow so he hoped i didnt mind him jacking the price after i had cash in hand...
