Last night I had my Series 70 GM apart and was using the barrel to look at the seating of reloads I was doing. Anyway, I noticed that the “barrel link pin” is loose, meaning it can slide out on either side of the “barrel link” and the barrel. I then disassembled my Series 70 Gold Cup and this pin is tight. I need to look at the same thing on my Springfield GI.
How series is this?

I don't think it is serious. Just peen the pin and the link just a little......and you are in good shape.

It's quite common...military guns had the pin staked into place to prevent loss in the field during cleaning....it's not going anywhere with the gun assembled, and can be essentially ignored....

Lose is ok, if it's falling out on it's own....I would stake it.
