I know this isn't the grips forum but this is specific for colts. Does anyone make slim rubber grips with the colt prancing pony on them? I will be picking up a defender this weekend I will want to replace the stock grips with something slim. I'm also open to other suggestion for slim grips but would prefer rubber ones.

I like browsing around looking at Colt stocks......I don't think I have ever seen what you are asking for.

The only slim stocks I have seen for Officer frames are other than rubber....I very well could be wrong though.

I bought a couple sets of these Colt medallion stocks from CDNN and they are really nice!

I haven't ever seen any slim rubber grips for the Defender (or I would own them!) but I bought a pair on e bay last year for my Gov't. Rubber, w/fingergrooves, and Colt gold medalions, and they are slim! My grip screw heads project up higher than the grips when I put them on my Gov't. They are down all the way and don't require short bushings but if I were to keep them on the gun all the time, I would install the short bushing so it looked better. These were not advertised as slim grips, just closeouts and I haven't checked to see if the add is still running. I have a pair of slim Herritts coming for my Gov't now and would like to put a pair on the Defender...... but maybe it will get a pair of Chrimsom Trace instead. Can't decide. 44 Man

Pearce Grips makes some rubber panel grips for the Officer's Model that will fit the Defender. They don't have the prancing Colt but are a Double Diamond design. The link is below.

Anyone know what the thickness of these rubber grips are? I emailed the company but I haven't got a response yet.

Got my answer from Pearce:

Our PG-OM2 grips will be the same thickness as the original grips. Our grips will not make the Colt Defender any slimmer. Thank you for your interest in our products.
