Hi all,

I`m new to the forum and a future Norinco user.
Here in Argentina we can buy the 1911 A1 (US$290) and the 1911 A1C (US$315). Despite the ugly plastic grip of the A1, I found it to be more classical than the A1C and I like that but I note some other diferences (upside the grip, sorry I donīt know the english parts names) between them and I would appreciate someone to tell me if those diferences lead to any mechanical improvement that can make me reconsider my choice.

Best Regards
El Rober

Hi, my Spanish is no hell either so between the two of us we should do OK. I have both the A1 and the Commander. Both guns have been flawless. Out of the box both were very accurate. I am 60 years old so my eyes are not what they used to be so I found the mil-spec sights difficult to pick up quickly so I changed my sights and did some other work. Had a trigger job done as well. If you like the sights then really all I would do initially is have the trigger worked on. They make great guns as is or as a base for a custom gun. My two that have been worked on can be found on the picture thread in this forum.

The bushings that hold the screws for the grips are metric otherwise the gun is your basic standard Colt with all parts interchangeable.

Hope this helps,

Stay safe,

Bob
ps I doubt that we could live further apart and still be in the Western hemisphere.
