Hello All;
I recently purchased and installed an STI recoilmaster in my Colt Special Combat Government 45 ACP. My thinking was that I could tame the recoil without reducing the loads and get some quicker follow up shots.
After 200 initial rounds at the range this past weekend, I'm not so sure that the darned thing works.
I couldn't tell any difference between the stock recoil spring and the recoilmaster. In fact, the gun seemed "whippier" than usual...almost like shooting a 40 S&W.
Has anyone had similar results? Better yet, has anyone had improved results with the STI recoilmaster?
