Has anybody purchased and assembled a pistol from one of the fusion EZ fit kits?

If so how did you like it and how much fitting was really involved?

I've heard rave reviews from folks purchasing premade weapons but no one building there own.

Im considering purchasing the 4" version.

I built a pistol from a fusion kit, a 5" in 45 ACP. The amount of fitting was small. You can get the frame, slide and barrel fitted from Fusion. Quality was very good. just waiting to get my refinished and I will be done.

Did you buy all the parts from fusion?

How much hand fitting did you need to do? Any special tools needed?

All depends on how much you want to do.....you can have them fit all the major parts so all you will need is a small file or you can do all of the fitting.

Minor fitting is okay be me, a little filing here and there, I'm just not real sure I want to attempt major work or invest in the tools I would need to do major work.
I'm looking forward to pictures and a range report.

This is what I have so far. The pistol stills need to be finished. At the range it shot well with no malfunctions to speak of. It shot a quarter size group of 8 shots at 12 yards.

Very nice looking piece. What finish are you going to use?

I'm thinking of doing it all in a deep, rich bluing with the slide polished and I have also thought about a all hard chrome finish.

If you're talking about the deep high polish blue finish like some of the old revolvers I like that one as well. Simply beautiful. But the contrast of SS and the blue pieces is nice as well. Glad it's your choice and not mine.

not to sound rude, but what do you figure the costs comparison was by you doing the kit?
thanks
