I'm upgrading my Springer Mil-Spec. I've noticed that the slide catches the disconnector very hard on forward movment. It seem to be binding in the hole in the frame. The part is MIM and looks very rough so I'm just going to replace it.

does anyone have any idea who makes the best disconnectors.

I'm looking at maybe getting one from Cylinder & Slide because they are made of tool steel.

any info would be appreciated

Thanks

Jack

I ordered one from Brownell's for a Micro Compact once. Fit perfectly - no fitting required.

JCP,

I will hope that 1911Tuner will come along here soon and drop some wisdom into your post that I'm not able to do... but going on Bill Laughridge's professional reputation as I know of, I would have no difficulty trusting one of his parts. Of course, there's other good choices too... and I'm sure you're gonna get some good input from the forum members on this one.

Dave Berryhill also offers a solid steel disconnector.

I have used Briley in the past, but since they went to MIM, I won't use them anymore.

I would use either Berryhill's or one from C&S.

If I recall correctly, they are made from the same company.

Fusion also makes a high quality one, solid bar stock.
