I was looking at a brand new Gunsite and noticed two things different from my other 1911, when I field stripped it:
1) The ejector sits a bit high, so that its legs are visible, but it's not loose. I have no idea how it functions, because I haven't fired it yet (still at the dealer)
2) the slide stop is leaving a bright wear mark on the alloy frame finish; maybe it's because my other frame is stainless, but there doesn't seem to be much wear from normal use on that one.... And no, this isn't an "idiot scratch", it isn't visible when the gun is assembled
Are these normal? Thanks for lending your greater experience....
