I have watched and re watched the DVD by 3GM. Max Michel was talking about adjusting the trigger to fit the hand (the finger is at a 90 degree before the rtigger snaps). His pistol has alot of movement before the break point. Is this recommended ? I purchased my Para customed (used), but I have no play.... just a slight feather squeeze and lead is sent downrange.Compared to my 5lb pull on my MP this is great !!! I am very new to 1911, and am looking forward to take a step up in IPSC. Any recommends. ?
Take Care,

I like my trigger set up so that it has a small pre-travel (maybe 1-1.5 mm) and a little over-travel. Acceptable trigger pull weight is 4-5 lbs for me.

I'd suggest that you speak with your fellow competitors about trigger geometry.
With a 'feather touch and lead is sent downrange' may be good for some competitions on some ranges, but, respectfully, a more agressive press on the trigger face may be more productive when the scores are posted.
