i just got back my SA from a local gunsmith and to me it looks like he removed too much of the frame to fit it. because on the gap between the frame and safety its not uniform. and i was needing pics of other install jobs to see if he did or not.

it says i cant post an attachment, for some reason. also if an ambi safety is installed do the ends of the pins on the right need to be ground down?

The pins should be flat and not protruding from the frame for an ambi.
Pics are done by having someplace like photobucket.com host your photo's.

depends on safety or if they are round pins .. but most of the time yes they need to be ground down ..

Click on this for a pic of a very nicely fit grip safety. It's an Ed Brown without the speed bump on a series 70 Colt.

thanks Joni and Bud. got mad and just tore the gun apart and ground the pins down, the ambi had a considerable amount of wear from the pins. and it looks like he got carried away when he was milling the radius for the new beavertail. i learned that it was a lot easier to tear down than i thought. but i think i might of lost a pin that goes in the MSH on the upper left side
