Pachmayrs with no front strap?

Back in the day when Pachmayrs were really popular, I remember seeing them all the time without the wraparound front strap. But they don't seem to make a version that is just the side panels - do folks just cut the front strap portion off?

Back in the day when Pachmayrs were really popular, I remember seeing them all the time without the wraparound front strap. But they don't seem to make a version that is just the side panels - do folks just cut the front strap portion off?


I'm not sure if they ever made them without it or not. I cut the front strap off of an old pair that I had, and it worked and looked good. I would just go that route.
