I've been looking for a Colt Gunsite CCO for some time and I finally found one in a shop. Unfortunately it was priced at $1400. It looks like a neat gun, but for $1400? It didn't even have night sites at that price. I'd love to have it, but not for $1400. No wonder Colt is having such a hard time coming back as a competitor.

$1400 does seem a little high. There were 2 Gunsite cco's on GunsAmerica last week at $1195 and $1199 and I usually think the prices there are a little high. I haven't seen one in a local shop or at a gun show, but if I do see one I can closely examine and it is in the $1100 to $1200 range I may be a buyer. I have a CCO and I think it is a great little gun, just right for a carry piece, lightweight short grip with a Commander length slide is the right combination I do believe.

Looking at features & the amount of work done by hand on the Gunsite pistols, their real competition are the semi-custom gunmakers. Taken in that context, the Gunsite models are a good deal.
I agree though, from a buyers perspective folks selling these pistols well in excess of MSRP is dang irritating.
