I have found that liquid bluing works well to take the ugliness out of scratches on the Taurus' black finish. Just use a Q-tip and apply repeatedly until you get the desired result. The only thing it will do is to hide the scratch, and make it not so obvious, and may get rid of it altogether. It will not affect anything else. Again, success depends on the cleaning and number of applications. The black ink or paint that they sell for this problem is too black, and it shows up.
