The only 1911 brands that my dept lets my carry are the sigarms of springfield. I need to attach a flashlight, which weapon would you guys choose?

Hi
Seems like a silly rule. There are a lot of good 1911's out there.
I'd pick Springfield in a heartbeat. Most SIG pistols are very well made and are quite reliable. The SIG 1911's are the only thing they don't seem to know how to make right.
Springfield has been making 1911's for a long time (compared to SIG). They make durable, reliable 1911's. If your life depends on it, reliability is what counts.

Springfield........either Loaded Operator, or the LW Operator.

Hi
Does your department get any kind of a price break from either manufacturer? My guess is if they do it's not much.
Another point in Springfield's favor - Their service department is pretty fast. If you need work done, you don't want to be without the pistol for long ...
