Colt's Special Combat Government

Hi,
Am new to this site an howdy to everyone. I am an aspiring gunsmith hopefully to retire in 7 years working solely on 1911's.

Bidding on the above Colt and was wondering if any of you have acquired one and have any comments.

I don't (currently :D) own an SC, but I had the oppotunity to one awhile back. Definitely an impressive "factory" pistol. The only thing I'd change is the MSH (to an arched type), but that's a personal choice.

I hope you find one for an equitable price. I've seen them sell for well above MSRP. The last one I spotted at a show was running $1600! :eek:
