Does anyone know where to get parts kits for the M-1911?
Thanks

Somewhat depends on what parts your looking for. Spring & pin kits are common, drop-in (grain of salt) trigger "kits" are also available.
Two of my most visited are brownells.com & 45gunparts.com.

Thanks for the info,
and to answer your question on what type of kit, well, I have the slide and frame, so I would need a barrel and all other parts to complete the 1911.
thanks again.

Sarco (sarcoinc.com) sells a few complete "parts kit's" for finishing out a 1911 sans the frame & slide, but likely you'll want to select certain components that fit your needs (or wants). If you were to buy a quality pin & spring kit, you'd be down to parts that usually require more individual selection (e.g. the barrel, sights, grip safety, hammer & sear, etc.).

I also have pproblems with 45gunparts.com, they don't answer the fax's, or reply to emails. I got this information from the BBB in Orange County CA.

For the love of John Moses, steer clear of Sarco parts kits! You can get high-quality parts from Brownells...all you need to assemble a complete gun...and over in the back of the catalog, there's a factory section where you can order nearly all the Colt parts that you'll need. More money...sure...but what is dirt cheap usually turns out to be very expensive sooner rather than later.
Just my 2% of a buck...Ya lays down your money and ya takes your chances. ;)

I agree with Tuner. You never know the quality of the parts from Sarco. Take the advise offered and buy through Brownells or one of the other "big name" dealers. Like Tuner said, "More money...sure...but what is dirt cheap usually turns out to be very expensive sooner rather than later." No truer words have been spoken with regards to gun parts.
Out.
Mike.
