My first Old Colt 1911 or 1911A1 Help

I hope I did the right thing. I just got back from the gun store and pick up a Colt 1911 GI SN#289002 in very good condition
too.accept for some scratches on the front handle she was $750.00 I hope I did not get rip off as I fell I love with it.
Any info on dates or anything would be a great help. How can I tell if its a original gun or put together gun from different parts.

Post pictures of both sides that include any markings. That serial shipped 06May1918 to the Springfield Armory.
